Welcome To IGO Agritech Farms !!

INDUSTRIAL VISIT

Polyhouse farming, also known as greenhouse farming, is a modern agricultural method that involves the cultivation of plants in controlled environments. Polyhouses are structures made of polyethylene sheets that are used to cover and protect crops from pests, insects, and adverse weather conditions. With the advent of technology, polyhouse farming has gained immense popularity in recent years as it offers numerous benefits such as high yields, controlled environment, and protection against natural calamities.

To understand the nuances of polyhouse farming, IGO Agritech Farms recently organized an industrial visit to JNN Institute of Engineering. The visit was aimed at providing practical knowledge about polyhouse farming and its related aspects to the students of agriculture and horticulture.

During the visit, the students were given a comprehensive tour of the polyhouse farming facilities at the institute. They were shown different types of polyhouses, including low-cost polyhouses, walk-in polyhouses, and multi-span polyhouses. The experts at the institute explained the importance of selecting the right polyhouse structure based on the crop type, climatic conditions, and soil type.

The students were also educated about the various types of crops that can be grown in a polyhouse and the ideal growing conditions for each crop. They were shown how to create the ideal temperature, humidity, and light conditions for plants to grow healthily. Additionally, the experts demonstrated the use of advanced technologies such as drip irrigation, fertigation, and hydroponics in polyhouse farming.

One of the major highlights of the visit was the interactive session where the students were allowed to ask questions and clarify their doubts about polyhouse farming. The experts patiently answered all the questions and also provided valuable tips on how to maximize yields and reduce operational costs.

Overall, the industrial visit organized by IGO Agritech Farms to JNN Institute of Engineering was a great learning experience for the students. It provided them with practical insights into polyhouse farming and equipped them with the knowledge and skills required to excel in this field.
